I know many of us do this

Pls avoid.........

A few days ago, a person was recharging his cell phone at home.
Just at that time a call Came in and he answered it with the
Instrument still connected to the outlet.

After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud.

His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers.

He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cell phones are a very useful modern invention.

However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death.

Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!

FORWARD THIS TO THE PEOPLE THAT MATTER IN YOUR LIFE!!

the Google Transcoder is a search engine for cell phones, and it also can help reduce the complexity and visual clutter on Web pages.

Once you've searched for something through the transcoder, any page you click on from there will be transcoded for cell phone use as well. Developers can use this tool to see how their page shows up in cell phones or to get an idea of how to modify your page to work well on screen readers and other assistive devices.

The Google Wireless Transcoder does a pretty decent job of transcoding websites for mobile devices. Here’s a Nokia S40 Emulator screenshot of this site after being transcoded.

The Google Wireless Transcoder can be used to visit your favourite sites with your mobile phone or device. Just go to http://www.google.com/gwt/n and enter your URL.

Following is the link for Google Transcoder

Windows Mobile 7.....  Cool, Windows Mobile 7 will be new version in windows mobile series.
Some sites are saying that the huge changes are multi-touch gestures (including flicking, swiping and drawing on the screen), motion gestures (shaking the phone), Windows Vista-like redesign of the entire UI, better finger-based navigation and a desktop-like Internet Explorer browser

Well, Microsoft mission with the next few releases of Windows Mobile is to take a product that the company built to satisfy business/enterprise users and make it more palatable to consumers.Who knows, we need to wait and watch Wink

Nomophobia - fear of being without your mobile phone

I can't imagine leaving my house without my cell phone. Even if I'm taking a quick walk over to the corner store to pick something up, I'll feel concerned that I may miss a call. Making it halfway to the store, I'll inevitably turn around to get my phone first. This does not make any logical sense, but it seems that I am not the only one who feels this way.

A study conducted by YouGov, a UK-based research organization, talks about the emergence of a new phobia amongst mobile users in Britain. This one's classified as "nomophobia", and relates to the fear of losing one's mobile phone -- among other things mobile-related.

The study says that nearly 53 percent of mobile phone users in Britain tend to get anxious when they lose their mobile phone, run out of battery or credit, or have no network coverage. And the number of anxious men exceeds that of women; they panic whenever they come across any of these problems. The study says about 58 percent of men and 48 percent of women are experiencing this new phobia; an additional nine percent feel stressed whenever their mobile phones are turned off.

Indiatimes introduces Mobile Voice value-added service (VAS), which enables a user to start listening to the gossips, news, astro tips and music.

This service is being currently provided by all major telecom operators including Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance, Tata, MTNL and BPL cross the country. Also, while other such services may either be operator-specific or may require different numbers for dialing in from different operators, the Times Internet service doesn't burden customers with having to remember different numbers for different services. A case in point is the STAR 57827 service wherein SMS services are available through 57827 while voice services are available via 50-57827 (for private operators) and via some other number for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

Airtel announced the launch of "airtellive.com", claimed to be an all-in-one Internet portal for its customers. This makes the company the first telco in the country to launch such a portal, it said.

The portal is looked upon as a milestone for Airtel; it builds upon the existing Broadband ecosystem to establish an Internet destination for Web applications, said Atul Bindal, president of Airtel Telemedia Services during the launch.

Airtel's move is expected to give its customers easy access to Google's simple yet powerful applications over the company's fast and reliable Broadband network. At "airtellive.com", Airtel customers will can access -- for free -- Google's Applications messaging and collaboration Suite that includes email services, Google documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Services are co-branded and powered by Google and Airtel Broadband. Airtel claims it has also partnered the likes of shaadi.com, 24x7guru, and naukri.com to offer exclusive deals and discounts on its portal.
